PROCESS

On a daily basis we encourage our designers to sketch and draw, we believe this is a vital part of the lightingdesign process. Developing and expressing ideas through initial sketches and drawing studies helps refineour approach and helps clients and other team designers quickly understand the essence of any lightingproposals.Beyond the pencil, our use of current technology can enable us to clearly define and accurately illustrate theeffect of any lighting design on a particular space. Further, if required, we are able to use ‘real world’ computervisualisation to quantify precisely the effect of any light fittings proposed and illustrate not only the aestheticimage but also an accurate analysis of how lighting interacts with a surface. As architects that specialise in light we are in a unique position to work with fellow professionals and developseamless integrated lighting solutions appropriate to an evolving architecture. Our inherent experience ofarchitectural detailing and construction allows us to make informed and positive suggestions, which helpsensure a cohesive result.
